Champ Bailey is an American football cornerback for the NFL Team New Orleans Saints . He earned All-American honors, played college football for the University Georgia . in the first round 7th overall of the 1999 NFL Draft , Bailey was drafted by the Washington Redskins, and has also played professionally for the Denver Broncos. He was released by the Broncos following the 2014 Super Bowl, primarily for salary cap reasons, and signed by the New Orleans Saints on April 4, 2014.

The New Orleans Saints beefed up their secondary with a future Hall of Famer as the team agreed to terms with cornerback Champ Bailey on a two-year deal, the franchise announced Friday afternoon.

The terms of the contract weren't immediately available, but ESPN reported the deal maxes out at $7 million. The Saints were $1,989,141 under the salary cap as of midday Friday, according to the NFL Players Association.
